Made on a shoestring, although astute and well recognized; tremendous cast comprises a variety of actual musicians. Dracula – Gloomy retelling of the Bram Stoker classic, with Langella’s esteemed Broadway characterization lost among trendy terror gimmicks and ill-imagined changes in the original tale. He brings the entire Clampett kinfolk out to Beverly Hills. Being simple country folk they are victim to every cash hungry con artist in the great big city.
Only You – Amiable confection in reference to a youthful girl who invests her entire life looking for her perfect mate whose name was summoned up on a Ouija board. Cast includes Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey, Jr., Bonnie Seek, Joaquim De Almeida, Fisher Stevens, and Phyllis Newman. (108 minutes,’94)
