And do not worry, making a tasty dessert pizza isn’t as tough as it might seem to be. Just try the below mentioned tricks and you are certain to make the yummiest dessert pizza.

If you want to give an unusual twist to your dessert pizza, then think about using yogurt. Yogurt has an amazing texture that works well for dessert pizzas. You can combine sliced fruits with yogurt and use it as a topping. In addition, it is high on taste and nutrition too. It can even assist in healing health conditions like yeast infection. However, if you’re dealing with severe yeast infection, then think about using Yeastrol Yeast Infection Treatment along with eating yogurt.

Use different mixes for dough. Try mixing cookie mix, brownie mix and cake mix all together and knead it to make dough. This not only helps add a different taste and flavor to pizza base, making it all the more yummy, but also enriches the consistency of the base. If you wish to stick to the basics then simply go for chocolate chip cookie mix. If you think that you’ll not be able to keep a tab on your appetite while gorging on dessert pizza, it appears sensible to use products like Caralluma Burn Appetite Suppressant, prior to eating the yummy dessert pizza.

Fruits make for a well known topping for dessert pizzas. But, the way you use these fruits may make all the difference to the all round flavor. Homebrew Recipes To Tantalize Your Taste Buds

Monday, November 9th, 2009

Just as a painter mixes 2 colours or more to create a masterpiece, you as a home brewer mix 2 or more flavors to create an award winning beer… and all this starts with the right homebrew recipes. For example, when mixing yellow and blue colours, you know that the outcome will be green, and the intensity will depend on how much yellow or blue you add… the same process applies for home beer brewing, the only difference is that you are using water, hops, malt, and other crucial ingredients.

Once you decide on the homebrew recipe you will be using to create your very own award winning beer, you must improvise a little and add your own personal touch. It will get easier over time as you gain more and more experience, but the rewards are well worth it as you create beers that non other brewery in the world will have… your mates will love you for your hard work and tasty beer! The best way to hone your skills is to start cloning commercial beers, and changing them over time.

It must be noted that the more experienced brewers will greatly benefit from creating their unique recipes because experience counts when creating award winning beers. Beginners may still experiment with their kits by adding different sugars, yeasts, and extracts… but the flavors that may be made are by no means as interesting as what the more experienced brewers may do. One thing that any home brewer must be is an adventurer, a daring lad or lass willing to try new thing to develop new and exciting flavors otherwise unheard off, have you got these characteristics?

To be able to make your own recipe, you have to log all the things you do every time you brew. There are times when you roast the barley malt a minute longer and you think it is not significant you don’t bother to log it. But then the outcome would happen to be the brew you have desired to achieve. And you replicate everything you did except for that extra minute. You’ll never get the same taste again. This had happened to many home brew bloggers. They forget how they got a really good blend because they just pour in ingredients without bothering to take note of them. But it’s like a one in a million thing with all the possible ratios of ingredients, the different temperatures, the extent of brewing, and a lot more gazillion factors in brewing your beer. Because of this, sometimes, brewers list the brewing log as among the important things that a home brewer must have. It even is prioritized in the list more than the spoon and the funnel.

Trial and error is the name of the game when it comes to creating the best homebrew recipes known to man-kind, so put your experimental hat on and get to work in your home brewery today!

If you want to design your own homebrew recipes, then it is best instructed to get all the information you need on home brewing by buying a comprehensive guide to teach you all the tricks!

Banana Bread Recipe: Create Your Own

Monday, November 9th, 2009

The first thing you want to do when you are ready to start baking banana bread is to look for a basic recipe. It is a good idea to purchase an introductory cookbook, if you do not already have one. Find one that has simple, no frills recipes, as well as instructions on how to simple things properly, such as folding eggs. You are going to start with a basic recipe. But then you are going to add your own flair to it and make it your unique banana bread recipe.

All banana bread recipes are going to be pretty much the same at the core. They can vary in quantities of each ingredient, but they all basically contain flour, butter, baking soda, salt, sugar (sometimes brown), eggs and bananas. I tend to like my baked goods moist, so I will pick a variation that calls for more eggs, for example.

Beyond that, you want to make sure that you use the highest quality ingredients, such as organic unrefined sugar and real butter as opposed to margarine. Having bananas at just the right level of ripeness is one of the keys to a great banana bread. This is may be the only time that you want your bananas to have a completely brown peel.

It is a good idea to try the recipe out without any alterations first so that you are familiar with the basic flavor and the correct consistency. Then you get to have fun experimenting. Just think about what sounds good to you to add. When you have an idea, look for a recipe that includes that ingredient so you can have a guideline of how much to use.

For example, I like to add chocolate chips to whatever I can. So, I look for a quick bread recipe that calls for chocolate chips. First, make sure that the recipe is meant to make the same amount of bread as your banana bread recipe. Then you can use the same amount of chips for your bread. If the recipe you find makes half as much bread as yours, simply double the amount of chips.

Or, maybe you think it should have walnuts in addition to the chips. Not a problem. But you need to put in fewer chips to make room for the nuts. A mistake that people often make is to change the recipe so there is too great a quantity of add-ins for the amount of batter. This will change the consistency of the bread, usually to its detriment.

Now, you are getting used to the experimenting and you are thinking that walnuts are not enough; there should be pecans as well. Again, just change the amounts so that if you were using a full cup of walnuts before, use a half cup each of walnuts and pecans. Or, you can really go crazy and add almonds as well. All you have to do is change the amount to a third cup of each and you are good to go.

Usually what happens after a period of experimentation is that you find a banana bread recipe that you and your family love so much, you stop experimenting. Before you know it, that special blend is now known as Aunt Mollys Banana Bread. And that is how a family tradition is born.

Ben Cook tells you how to make banana bread in your home kitchen and gives you lots of delicious banana bread recipes on his low sugar banana bread recipe website.

Easy Canned Soup Recipes Can Spice Up A Cheap Meal

Saturday, November 7th, 2009

Canned soup is an inexpensive meal that is easy to make. All you have to do is open up the can and heat up the contents. Unfortunately, this can get boring fast. What is an amateur cook to do? If you are in a hurry, you are probably not going to be able to cook a full meal from scratch. The good news is that you can improve any can of soup to make things more interesting, without things getting complicated.

Try adding some vegetables, either fresh or leftover. Chop up whatever’s around that seems like it will work well in your soup, and heat it in the microwave. For more flavor, put a little oil in a frying pan and saute your veggies. Then, add the precooked vegetables to your soup and heat it up.

Frozen veggies can work well, too. Take a commercial can of chowder and add some corn, carrots, peas, or green beans out of the freezer bag, then heat as usual. You will notice a real difference in the taste, and you do not have to put in very much more effort.

For those who would like to make their soups a little meatier, leftovers may be the answer. Save up the extra bits of chicken, beef, pork, or seafood from a previous meal, heat them up in the microwave, and add them right into your canned soup. You can use any kind of meat at all, as long as you use safe handling techniques.

For those who do not usually have much in the way of meaty leftovers, canned meats can come to the rescue. There are great canned chicken, shrimp, crab, and other meat options out there that can really help you add interest to your soups. It is amazing how easy soup recipes can be.

You do not have to be using meat to turn leftovers into effective soups, either. Try using last night’s lentil pilaf, some leftover rice or barley, or even a handful of noodles in your canned soups to add a little interest. These grain items can be added when you heat up the soup, since they are precooked.

Spices and condiments can really change tastes, as well, and may make dull soups a lot more interesting. Garlic and onion, herbs, seasoning salt, hot pepper, or black pepper could be just what you need. Wine and sherry make things better, as do interesting vinegars. Try hot sauce, soy sauce, or even a little ranch (in a cream soup) and see what happens.

Last, but not least, do not forget about dairy. A little freshly grated cheese can make your soup much tastier, and some soups benefit greatly from a spoonful of sour cream. Do not overdo it, and always add these after heating to prevent separation (to create a cheese soup, you can add grated cheese to a cream soup when heating). You will love the taste that results.

Soup can be clear and delicate or creamy and thick. Both are definitely delicious. Whether you prefer a clear soup or a creamy soup, you can’t do better than to serve it up with some hot crusty bread or some fresh biscuits, hot from the oven. Your family will love it!

Waffles were originally invented by primitive man or so the legend goes. Follow the easy step by step instructions on how to make a delicious waffle mixture. The very first things you need to do is switch on your waffle machine so that when mixture is ready your waffle machine is already hot and all you have to do is just follow the instruction step by step.

Third step: Take out a large mixing dish where you are now going to mix all your dry ingredients in such as the salt, and teaspoon of baking powder as well as the flour. Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Rice In Mexican Cooking

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

Rice is the most commonly eaten cereal crop in the world, being the mainstay of the diet in much of east and southeast Asia, the Caribbean and central and South America. Of course, rice is eaten in literally every part of the world, including North America. Rice is grown in the United States and more apropos to this article, Mexico. After corn, rice is the most important grain in Mexican cuisine and there are too many different Mexican rice recipes to list in the space we have here.

This grain is an immigrant to the Americas, having first been cultivated in Asia and brought to Mexico by Spanish and Portuguese explorers and colonists, who began growing the crop in the new world. Rice quickly became an important ingredient in Mexican cooking, with many a traditional Mexican rice recipe having its origin shortly after its introduction to the continent.

Classic Mexican Rice Recipes

One of the best known and most popular of all Mexican rice dishes is arroz con pollo, which is also among the most popular Mexican chicken recipes. The name means “rice with chicken” and is the Mexican version of a classic comfort food combination.

This dish is a Mexican adaptation of a Spanish recipe, with some ingredients, which are native to the Americas. Tomatoes are a common ingredient in arroz con pollo, as is oregano – and in Mexico, cooks prefer to use the stronger-flavored Mexican oregano instead of Greek oregano as cooks would use in Europe. While the Spanish influence is undeniable, these small changes have made this very much a Mexican rice recipe.

Spanish Cuisine In The New World

After the Spanish began to grow rice in Mexico, it quickly became a hit, working its way into dishes, which combined old and new ingredients, with some of the results now known as authentic Mexican rice recipes. One dish, which we think of as Spanish as can be is paella, but a look at the ingredients commonly, used in this dish reveal something very interesting. For example, tomato is a common ingredient; a new world ingredient, which must inevitably have found its way into a pot of rice and seafood long before a cook in Valencia, thought to do the same.

Of course, even Spanish paella happens to have a slight Mexican accent due to the inclusion of tomatoes and quite often, bell peppers – both of which are native to the Americas and were brought back to Europe from the new world! Needless to say, this is also a very popular Mexican rice dish with many regional variations being found throughout Mexico, especially in coastal regions of the country.

Another popular Mexican rice recipe is the lightly seasoned rice served as a side dish with many meals, especially bean dishes. You may have noticed the similarity between this dish and Spanish rice – and the two do share some ingredients other than rice; again, tomatoes and bell peppers are part of the equation.

Rice has become almost as important of a dietary staple in Mexico as it is in much of the world. It may not have been in the Mexican culinary repertoire as long as corn or chilies, but it has found a happy place in this one of a kind cuisine and if you enjoy any of these wonderful Mexican rice recipes, you are certainly glad that it made its way over to the Americas.

Different types of peppers give slightly different results when you are making Mexican recipes. The Scoville heat index (or Scoville scale chart) lists habanero peppers quite high up so beware of these if you are not used to hot foods! Remember you can remove the seeds from peppers to make them milder.

How To Get Best Results From Your Waffle Recipe

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

Using the right waffle recipe ensures that you will succeed in making something to relish at breakfast time. To make the waffle you must first prepare a batter that will consist of sugar and oil as well as flour and milk as too eggs that will need to be poured into an iron. This iron has certain designs in it that help to make the iron radically different to a normal iron which is normally used to iron out our clothes.

The simple fact is that each waffle maker will work differently and so you need to make full use of whatever instructions are provided in the user manual. Only then can you expect to get the right kind of results. Another helpful tip is to ensure that when using a waffle maker that is older than five years is that it will not pay to use cooking sprays.

When it concerns picking the right waffle recipe you will first of all need to decide which type of waffle you wish to make. Some waffles are very light and others are very crisp and then there are waffles that resemble apple pies and which will smell as well as taste like a true apple pie. In addition, you will also need to decide whether to bake a cinnamon waffle and one that has chocolate chips or even a buttermilk waffle that are decidedly fluffy as well as light.

Other wonderful waffle recipes that are worth looking at include the cornmeal waffle which is characterized by its crunchiness as well as lightness. In addition, you will need to look for recipes that will help you create gingerbread waffles that are normally taken with a pouring of some delightful chocolate sauce. Another recipe worth looking at is the one that will help you create a crisp maple walnut waffle and of course then there is the hugely popular Belgian waffle for which you will find many recipes.

Next, remember to use the right waffle maker and if your existing one has aged don’t hesitate in going out to buy a new one. The older models will not have the right kind of non-stick surface which will then make cooking unnecessarily difficult.

And, when you do actually go out to purchase a waffle maker you will also need to decide between two main options: regular waffle makers and the Belgian ones. Which one you end up with will depend on your personal preferences though a Belgian waffle maker is sure to help you make crispier waffles.

When it comes time to look for a good waffle recipe do not forget to check out those recipes that involve using cinnamon raisins and cinnamon maple butter. In fact, you will also want to find out more about how to make the delightfully tasting banana nut waffles which are accompanied with some tasty banana butter. Then, there are also the pumpkin pie waffles that make for excellent fare.

One way to know when the waffle has been made properly is to look for the steam as it exits the unit. As soon as you notice that the steam has stopped coming out it will be safe to lift up the waffle maker’s lid. A good waffle recipe can help you create outstanding waffles; among the better recipes that will help you create wonderful waffles, be sure to check out these: Best Waffles Ever, Whole Wheat Waffles, Pumpkin Waffles, Gingerbread Waffles and also Corn Flake Waffles.

You can find your next deliciouswaffle recipes on Ben Cooks website dedicated to waffles. If you want to learn how to make sugar waffle recipe and other tasty waffles his site is the place to check.

There is something so comforting about a nice hot bowl of soup. The soup warms you, making you feel cozy. Many people are intimidated at making homemade soup, but it actually is pretty easy once you have tried it a time or two. It is even easier when you use your slow cooker.

Soups for the Slow Cooker

You can make almost any kind of soup in a slow cooker. From simple fare like lentil soup or vegetable beef to fancier fare like vichyssoise or cream of sweet potato soup, your slow cooker is your best tool for making soup. Ethnic soups like Italian Wedding soup and Indian Dal can be simmering while you take care of other business.

It does not matter what your favorite soup is… you can probably make it in your slow cooker. Leftovers work, too. If you have a ham bone left, toss it in with some split peas for yummy pea soup, or add some navy beans to make a hearty bean soup.

With a bit of inspiration, you can create your own new soup recipes. It can be fun to be creative in the kitchen. The slow cooker lets you make mistakes and your soup will still taste great. You can use tough cuts of meat because the long cooking time will tenderize them. Add some herbs and vegetables to add more depth to your soup. If you like creamy soups, add a little milk or cream at the end of cooking. Your imagination can run free!

Traditional soups like chicken noodle, vegetable beef and chicken and dumplings always taste good, too. If you want to try something slightly different, tweak the ingredients. Maybe you would like to try a nice pork stew or turkey and dumplings. Tweaking your favorites can be fun.

You can add noodles, rice, potatoes, or whatever you prefer. Add in some leftovers like peas, carrots, roasted vegetables, and gravy. Basic Principles For Easy Steak Marinades

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

Many people feel that the right marinade is their answer for tenderizing tough meat. Unfortunately, that is not usually the case. Marinades may make your meat taste better, but they are not really all that good at tenderizing – the effect is only skin-deep. Here is a look at the way different marinades are made and the ways in which they work.

Marinades come in three basic types – acidic, enzymatic, and dairy. Acidic marinades that are too strong can make your food tough, while enzymatic marinades at an overly high strength will turn many steaks to mush. Dairy marinades can improve the tenderness of meat, but they are not necessarily suited to certain kinds of cooking.

Acidic marinades rely on wine, vinegar, and citrus juices to denature the proteins in a steak. This unwinds them. Once they encounter another unwound protein, they will bind together – the same process that happens with long, slow cooking. Water starts out trapped in these proteins, and the steak is pretty tender. However, too much acid will tighten those protein bonds, squeezing out liquid and toughening the meat.

Milder acid marinades are preferable to really strong ones, since they allow us to add plenty of flavor without the danger of tightening the meat and toughening it. Meats that start out with a closer grain, including flank steak, will do okay in a stronger acidic marinade, but they are also tougher to being with.

An enzymatic marinade will actually work to break down muscle fiber and collagen. Sources from honeydew melon, raw pineapple, ginger, kiwi, fig and papaya, these marinades can be great in small amounts. Too much will get you mush, not a tender steak, however. The longer you marinate, the softer the texture, too. Commercial meat tenderizers use papaya enzymes to work the same way.

The last type of ribeye steak marinade recipe options is that based on dairy products, usually mildly acidic ones. These include buttermilk and yoghurt, both of which are used in India to marinate tough goat and lamb, and which are used in the US to make fried chicken better.

Steaks can be interesting in this kind of marinade, but you may need to take a look at how you are cooking them, since this is not the most common type of marinade used for them. Try curry flavors along with your marinade for a good result.

Marinades do not have to be complicated, and if you know the kind of results to expect from your ingredients, you will have no problem getting a great end product every time. Take a little while to investigate the different varieties of marinades to find the one that is likely to go best with your steak. The results might surprise you.
