Car insurance is one of the most important ongoing cost when you buy a car and it can be expensive or not so expensive it just all depends on the individual. You should allow for this cost and there is no way out of it if you want to drive. I am a driver in the UK and have done some driving in other countries as well and I have notice that the factors taken to do the premium calculation are standard, or fairly standard worldwide and it will definitely apply to you if you want to drive in any country in the world.
Different factors that they take in account when they do your evaluation for your annual car insurance cover is you age, your sex, occupation and also another important one, your past driving experience. The car insurance companies looks at your past driving experience and the factors they look at in your evaluation is the number of years you have been driving without an insurance claim, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Police endorsements for car related incidents like you driving without tax or insurance on your car and they also look if you have been speeding. This all will have an effect on your premium.
You will find that by obtaining car insurance quotes from several car insurance companies that your annual premium can be vastly different from company to company and therefore it is in your own interest to shop around to find which one suits you best.
The best premiums go to the people with five years no claims and longer. To get a five year no claims take a long time and some very careful driving!
