During the holiday season, when we’re supposed to be relaxing and simply enjoying life, we are sometimes held back by all the preparation and the things that we need to meet and do, not to mention the countless parties and gatherings to attend to. This is especially true for moms! During this time, it is not only the gifts which are flying off the shelves, but also adrenal fatigue supplements. And why not, if not for these ever dependable health buddies, we all would be feeling down and out in the midst of the holiday rush.
Because of this whole idea of preparation we simply forget the whole idea of having a holiday. Instead of unwinding or relaxing, we end up spending all of our time with work and it defeats the whole idea of the holiday. Your duty to your family is important, no one disputes that but there’s no harm with taking a break from work once in a while.
As the Christmas day is drawing near, more and more duties will pile up and if we’re throwing a party or organizing a gathering, the pressure will also pile up. The general advice is: take a breather in between. Do not find time to stop and breathe, but really MAKE time to do so.
Also, all the rush could be avoided by simply managing your time properly a few weeks before the holidays. You could start working on packing up gifts as early as late November so you could avoid the last minute Christmas shopping. Or if being an early bird isn’t just your style then the best thing you could do is just breath in between your work. If you have an extra afternoon to spend then why not go to the spa or get your hair done in the salon. Spend those important in betweens on activities which will strip off the chances of getting stressed.
So the next time that you find yourself stressing too much over anything that involves the holidays, take a breather and treat yourself to something wonderful. Whether it’s an entirely new and softer mattress or just an extra scoop of rocky road ice cream, they can do wonders to beat stress and improve adrenal fatigue nutrition.
